P3 describe how a selected organisation uses marketing research to contribute to the development of its marketing plans

Good morning year 12L3

following the visit to Cotswold Wildlife Park and the Presentation that they provided this should be a 'walk in the park!'

1. Describe the different methods used by Cotswold Wildlife Park to find information from its customers and about its competitors.  What did it do as internal and external research?

2. Having found information from its customers and about its competitors a business is able to assess its current position.  It then produces a SWOT and PESTLE analysis.  These are called Market Planning tools.  The Costwold Wildlife Parks presentation can be found on the portal.

3. Explain, using examples, how Cotswold Wildlife Park uses the information it has found through its research to create a SWOT and PESTLE.  Also give examples of how it has used these to alter its:

  • Product offering
  • Pricing strategy
  • Places of advertising
  • Promotional techniques
Deadline for this piece of work is Wednesday 28th January 2015.  A hard copy should be submitted to Mr T and the same electronic copy added to the portal.
