P1 describe how marketing techniques are
used to market products in two organizations

    1.   Supply at least three definitions of what is meant by the term ‘Marketing’. Under each definition explain what you understand is meant by the term.

     2.   Explain what you understand to be meant by Marketing and why you think Marketing is important to Business organizations.

     3.   View the Business Aims and Objectives PowerPoint and identify the broad aims of organizations in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Describe how the marketing department of businesses in
these sectors help to achieve these aims. Give examples of local
organization in each sector (public, private and voluntary) to describe how marketing is used to help it to achieve it’s organizational aims.



For Cotswold Wildlife Park and your other business you need to explain how the marketing department helps the business to achieve its aims and objectives. Use the Marketing Objectives PowerPoint to help identify techniques that are being used by these companies e.g. Branding. You might only be able to describe the strategies in depth after the visit to Cotswold Wildlife Park.
